There is little difference for me in shooting portraits in the studio or in the street. I enjoy both equally, especially if it is someone I haven't met before as it is an opportunity to interact with them for a brief moment. This was taken at the Dragon International Film Studios, Valleywood, in Bridgend with a 1934 Rolleiflex - a little tribute to Cecil Beaton.
This was also a TLR shot, but taken in the street in mid-Wales with a 1960 Rolleicord VA. I have caught a grumpy side perhaps, but it was a treat to chat with this gent. You might not notice the pair of scissors at first, but it is one of the reasons I find the photo appealing. They seem as pointed and sharp as the man's character.
